DON'T BE SCARED!

Horror Movies are a staple around Halloween, there is just something about sitting around on a cool, crisp Fall night with a big bowl of popcorn, the lights dimmed and then being so scared you actually throw your popcorn in the air!
Night of the Living Dead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Rosemary's Baby, Bride of Frankenstein, Halloween, and of course The Shining. Who can forget the first time you saw any of these movies, and how scared you where?
The Handmade Circle Team is proud to announce the launch of our own horror movie! So grab your popcorn, dim the lights, and be prepared to see some scary low prices!

Nature's Creations

Some people are just born to create, their talent may be sewing, painting, crocheting, knitting, or jewelry designing.  Some people even take classes to help develop their inner creativity. But yesterday I discovered one of nature's creations.

I was amazed at how all the sticks, twigs, paper, and straw had been so carefully woven together.  I can just imagine the time, care, and love that was put into this creation.

We Handmade Artist put the same time, care, and love into everyone of our creations.
Bags By Hags takes pride in the creation of every product I make. I truly strive to make useful, unique, beautiful products.

While the process of the creation of my new Potato Bags didn't take as long as building this nest probably took, I used just as much care and love.

The process begins cutting the lining.
Then preparing the exterior, I decided to use a terry cloth dish towel as it is such a gorgeous print for the fall.

Miss Kitty has to approve all designs as she is our official Spokes-Cat.
The finished product!

I am just as proud of my Potato Bag as that little bird was of her nest!

Time Marches On......

Time - how it does march on!  It's hard to believe that Summer is winding down, the kids are back in school and before we know Christmas will be here!

Labor Day Weekend always finds me reminiscing about some of the most happiest moments of my childhood.  We always made the trek to Turkey Texas or Washington Oklahoma for the Collins Family Reunion.  This was all my dad's family.  They loved getting together, laughing and talking, playing cards and dominoes.  I remember playing with my cousins, the wonderful food, and being smothered my Aunt Agatha's kisses.  And of course there was the big bet between my dad and cousin Michael Collins, $100.00 on who was going to win on Texas-OU Weekend.  My mother would get so mad that daddy would bet that much money ($100.00) was a lot of money then!  I love all these wonderful memories!

Now time marches on, all my dad's siblings have passed and we no longer have the Collins Family Reunion.  I often wonder where all my cousins are, what is going on in their lives now, and if they have the same fond memories like I do.  Oh and Michael Collins - Texas will beat Oklahoma this year!
